Diwali offer from Maharajah! Air India offers buy one get one on tickets
Giving wings to flyers' Diwali holiday plans, Air India on Thursday announced its buy one ticket and take one companion free offer.

The offer titled 'Khushiyon ki Udaan' can be used for tickets booked between 20-30 October. The travel date is 30th October only, the airline said in a tweet.

The offer is valid only on domestic routes. Taxes and other charges will have to be paid for the free ticket.

The accompanied passenger must travel together with paid ticket passenger. Tickets can be booked through Air India City and Airport Booking Offices.

For the first since the merger of Indian Airlines with itself, Air India had reported an operating profit of Rs 105 crore in 2015-16 on the back of lower fuel costs and higher passenger numbers.

It had an operating loss of Rs 2,636 crore in 2014-15.

A fall of nearly 31 per cent in fuel costs in the last financial year compared to the year-ago period was a key factor in the airline becoming operationally profitable.
